Americas Cardroom (ACR) has been working tirelessly this year to give poker players a lot of incredible options and it has done a great job. While the year is ending, ACR isn't content with sitting back and taking it easy, though, and is staying true to its aggressive poker nature.
The US-facing poker site is going to wrap up the year in a big way with the upcoming Online Super Series (OSS), running from November 20th through December 15th. It offers 26 days of poker action that will include $12 Million in guarantees across 150 tournaments – just in time for the holidays.
What makes this OSS special is that it was built for all types of players – beginners, pros and everything in between. There are a variety of games, including NLH, PLO, and PLO8, and structures include regular, turbo and hyper-turbo, giving players plenty of options.
The OSS normally features a $1-million guaranteed tourney, but this time there will be two of them. One has a $540 buy-in and gets going on Sunday, December 8th at 3pm ET and the second has a $215 buy-in and it will have 13 Day 1 options starting November 20th. The players who make it through will battle it out starting Sunday, December 15th at 3pm ET.
The Featured Event of the OSS is the $6 Million Venom. This highly anticipated event launches on Wednesday, November 27th and has a $2,650 buy-in. That may be a little too much for some players, so you can qualify for far less via ACR's Step Tournaments, Skip Tournaments, Regular Satellites, Mega Satellites and Cyclones.
If you haven't heard of Cyclones, they're a type of fast-paced blitz poker satellite combined with a step tournament that just launched on November 14th. You can enter at any of the seven steps (the first one costs just $0.25) and, if you reach 5,000 chips, you advance to the next step. Make your way through Step 7 and you get a $2,650 Venom seat.
